Our mission at Legacy of Wellness is to educate, equip and empower youth and families in the Tampa Bay community to live healthier lifestyles by providing health education programs and services.
We want to promote the development of healthy habits to contribute to the reduction of chronic diseases in underserved populations in our community through local collaboration, partnership and resource sharing.

ProGrams and Services
Wellness Workshops
Grounded in an integrated public health and education approach, our Wellness Curriculum focuses on three key pillars: Physical, Nutritional, and Emotional Wellness.
Through a combination of engaging hands-on activities, health education, physical activity, emotional learning and team sports, participants gain practical tools and lifelong habits that support overall well-being. Our approach goes beyond knowledge as we aim to inspire lasting lifestyle changes.

Pop-Up Fitness Events
Our pop-up events deliver impactful health and wellness experiences directly to youth and adult organizations. Through services such as guided fitness instruction and yoga sessions, we create engaging, on-site opportunities that inspire movement, mindfulness, and lasting healthy habits.

After School Program
Our after-school program provides a fun, engaging, and hands-on learning environment where students can connect with their peers while exploring what it means to live a healthy lifestyle. During after-school hours, participants take part in interactive activities that promote physical, nutritional, and emotional wellness in an enjoyable and supportive setting.

Who We Are
Darrian M. Skinner, Sr., Founder, Fitness Instructor
Darrian Skinner, a proud St. Petersburg, Florida native, is a dedicated educator, former football student-athlete, and passionate advocate for health and wellness. He earned his bachelor’s degree in health and physical education from Murray State University, where he developed a strong foundation in both education, athletics and holistic well-being.
Following graduation, Darrian pursued his dream of becoming a professional athlete while simultaneously giving back to his community as a K–8 educator. His experience includes time in the Canadian Football League, which further deepened his understanding of discipline, performance, and the importance of physical and mental health.
With over 12 years in the field of education, Darrian brings a wealth of knowledge and real-world experience in teaching health and wellness concepts. He is currently advancing his impact by pursuing a master’s degree in Educational Leadership, with a focus on empowering students and families to build healthier, more balanced lives.
Amber M. Skinner, Founder, 200 YT Yoga Instructor
Amber Skinner, a Carbondale, Illinois native, is a dedicated public health professional and wellness advocate with a passion for helping individuals and communities thrive. A former track and field student-athlete at Murray State University, she earned her bachelor’s degree in biology in 2012, where she developed a strong foundation in health science and human performance.
Driven to make a broader impact, Amber went on to earn her master’s degree in public health from the University of South Florida. With over 13 years of experience serving her community, she brings extensive knowledge in disease prevention, health education, and overall wellness.
As a certified yoga instructor, Amber integrates mindfulness and movement into her approach, promoting balance across physical, mental, and emotional health. Her work reflects a deep commitment to empowering others to lead healthier, more intentional lives.
